The Los Angeles County Library disclosed records of a grant they were awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) in March 2013 for the amount of $6,000 (six thousand dollars). The Los Angeles County Library have also disclosed records attesting that they have paid to the Los Angeles Times the amounts of [1] $28,200 (twenty eight thousand and two hundred dollars) in 2014; [2] $39, 946 (thirty nine thousand nine hundred and forty six dollars) in 2015; [3] $39,917 (thirty nine thousand nine hundred and seventeen dollars) in 2016; [4] $49,577 (forty nine thousand five hundred and seventy seven dollars) in 2017; [5] $53,927 (fifty three thousand nine hundred and twenty seven dollars) in 2018; [6] $50,606 (fifty thousand six hundred and six dollars) in 2019; [7] $40,235 (forty thousand two hundred and thirty five dollars) in 2020; [8] $17,593 (seventeen thousand five hundred and ninety three dollars) in 2021; [9] $24,113 (twenty four thousand one hundred and thirteen dollars) in 2022. In sum, the Los Angeles County Library have paid $344,114 (three hundred thousand one hundred and fourteen dollars) in fees as a direct consequence of their subscription to the Los Angeles Times between 2014 and 2022. After a search of the Los Angeles County Public Library online catalog, the Association for the Advancement of Civil Liberties (AACL) was unable to identify any records pertaining to [1] Jean Seberg’s membership with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP); [2] Jean Seberg’s charitable donations to the NAACP and the Black Panther Party; [3] the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) wiretap of Jean Seberg; [4] the mental health impact of wiretap on Jean Seberg; [5] the mental health impact of libelous articles (published by the Los Angeles Times and Newsweek) on Jean Seberg; [6] the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of Jean Seberg when she was only 40 years old; [7] the performance of Kristen Stewart in the 2019 movie entitled: “Seberg.”
